However, if you are wanting registered and pure blood approved pups, a stud fee could run you well over a thousand dollars. You are the lucky person who gets to play match maker for two dogs.  Breeding Labrador retrievers begins with finding a suitable daddy for your soon-to-be puppies.<\/p>\n<p>It is important to know the pedigree background and medical information of both canine parents before you start breeding your Labrador retriever; this will aid in finding a good mate for your Lab that will yield a cute and well-bred puppies. You may want to meet with your dog\u2019s veterinarian ahead of time to let them know your plans and find out what you should expect during the pregnancy, and to schedule any appointments that are necessary. There is also a possibility of being able to advertise in the clinic about your litter when they are born.<\/p>\n<p>With so many unwanted puppies and adult dogs crowding out the animal shelters, it would be wise to give the idea of breeding your Labrador retriever some serious consideration.
